Virginia Creeper vine

Hello,
We have a large front bed full of vinca, and over the last 2 years I've noticed another vine slowly taking over. I did a little research and I've come to the conclusion that it very well could be virginia creeper. I think it is very weedy-looking and it is taking over my vinca and climbing up my trees and seemingly choking some of my ball bush trees. How can I get rid of it? it seems tobe just everywhere. I read somewhere that vinegar wouldkill it, but would that hurt my vinca as well? Please help!

Virginia Creeper is something you have to individually treat. You cut the top as close to the ground as possible and then wet the top of the cut with a product by Green Light called: Cut Vine and Stump Killer (a great product for this). I am sure that vinegar could slow it down (but you would want to make sure that it is the horticultural grade 20% Vinegar (not just table vinegar). I have only tried the hort vinegar on weeds and it did work like a charm, but I should mention that you would need to apply it stem by stem just like the cut vine killer. Try to avoid your vinca as it would be harmed if it we absorbed directly. Good luck!

Thank you, very much. It will be a tedious process, but we'll try anything!
