I plan to start a vegetable garden in my back yard. I was careful to avoid the chosen area when I applied A-Vert preemergent last week. Since then I've decided that this area would not be the best spot. I will likely move the garden to a different spot in my backyard. I'll be digging up the sod, but I'm sure the chemical seeps into the soil below. Will the presence of preemergent be detrimental to my vegetables?
The presence of the pre-emergent will not be detrimental for plant starts (that is plants already started). All veggie seeds will not emerge until the pre-emergent wear off (3-5 months). Sorry for the delay... did not see this post!
